We offer a safe, consent-focused experience, with a program designed for children as young as 6. Our trained professionals ensure a personal, caring approach. We’re available in Castlegar, Monday to Friday, from 1 pm to 6 pm.
KIDS POLICY
We prioritize your child's engagement and self-care throughout our procedures. Children will need to sign their own consent forms, choose their jewelry, and repeat healing instructions.
Consent is essential at every step. Our piercer will ask questions like “Are you ready to come to the piercing room?” and “Is it okay if I touch your ear?” If your child hesitates at any point, we’ll work with them to ensure they’re comfortable.
During the consultation, we assess your child’s readiness through their behavior. Signs such as pulling away or avoiding eye contact may indicate they’re not ready. In such cases, we may proceed with only one piercing and won’t continue if your child is distressed. We don’t rush or force the process.
If consent isn’t given, or if the session lasts more than 30 minutes without completing the piercings, the appointment will end. The parent or legal guardian will be responsible for the full fee, and we will provide the sterile jewelry to take home, allowing you to reschedule if needed.
If your child is currently enrolled in swimming lessons, we recommend waiting until their lessons are complete before scheduling a piercing. Also, avoid pools and hot tubs until the piercings are fully healed.
Children aged 10 and under will receive a complimentary set of jazzy beads of their choice with their initial piercing. A $25 fee applies for the first downsize appointment, which includes barbell fitting and a professional inspection of the piercings.
